SiLC Technologies’ Eyeonic Trace has been named a Finalist for the 2025 Automate Innovation Award. A Class 1 Laser Line Scanner, Eyeonic Trace is targeted to industrial and warehouse automation applications and brings unmatched precision, speed and safety.

The Automate Innovation Awards recognize technologies that are pushing the boundaries of industrial automation. An independent panel of judges selected finalists based on technological originality and measurable impact—specifically how solutions improve system efficiency, reduce costs, enhance design quality, and promote workplace safety. The awards spotlight innovations that offer both breakthrough performance and real-world value across automation, robotics, and machine vision.

Set to make its public debut at the Automate 2025 show next week, the Eyeonic Trace is a compact, all-in-one inspection and measurement tool, based on SiLC’s proprietary chip-integrated FMCW LiDAR technology. Operating at 1550nm with a Class 1 eye-safe laser, it delivers sub-millimeter accuracy at speeds up to 1 million points per second—even on low-reflectivity surfaces up to 10 meters away. Its robust performance in any lighting condition, combined with high-resolution 3D sensing and exceptional interference resistance, makes it ideal for demanding industrial environments. Measuring just 200 x 135 x 75 mm, the Eyeonic Trace is easy to mount above conveyor belts, assembly lines, or robotic arms, and its long working range enables precise measurement of everything from small parcels to large objects like automotive panels or high-temperature materials.

“We’re honored to be named a finalist for the 2025 Automate Innovation Award,” said Dr. Mehdi Asghari, CEO of SiLC Technologies. “The Eyeonic Trace is designed to meet the evolving demands of high-speed, high-precision automation. Whether it’s measuring fast-moving packages in distribution centers or detecting foreign objects and monitoring wear on conveyor belts in mining operations, Eyeonic Trace delivers unmatched accuracy and reliability. With the shift toward intelligent, AI-driven automation, our FMCW LiDAR technology empowers the vision systems that make it possible.”

Winners of the 2025 Automate Innovation Awards will be announced at the Automate Show on May 12 from 4-5 p.m.. A distinguished panel of five renowned judges will evaluate finalists live on stage, selecting the most innovative solution to claim this prestigious recognition.

SiLC will be at Automate 2025 located at Huntington Place in Detroit, MI from May 12-15 at booth #9307. To see live demonstrations of Eyeonic Trace and SiLC’s FMCW LiDAR technology at work, please email contact@silc.com to schedule a meeting or simply stop by during exhibition hours.
