Maison Pixel, a Portugal-based fashion brand, has launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs. The company is currently seeking 150,000 as it prepares for growth and expansion.
Maison Pixel describes itself as an innovative fashion brand, with a patented design, inspired by pixels and computer graphics to tap into the high-value millennials and post-millennials market. The company, which was designed and founded in late 2015, has sold over 13500 units and generated €345k in revenue, selling to over 40 countries worldwide. It was revealed:
“By using new manufacturing techniques and materials, with a core online marketing and sales strategy, the company is looking for funding to scale up and consolidate its international cult status in its key Markets, the U.S.A. and Europe, while growing new ones, especially in Asia.”
The company also noted that it takes pride in going above and beyond other brands that use eco materials. With every product, it takes into account the entire life-cycle of the pieces from its carbon footprint to the livelihoods of the people who manufacture them. Aside from using sustainable materials, equal considerations are given to manufacturing free of child labor, a respect for workers’ wages and rights and safety.
“With its firm dedication to ecological sustainability, the Maison Pixel pieces are made with an Italian lycra, blended by fabric company Carvico, which holds EU certification in environmental standards, and the ones used on its swimwear line are composed of 100% recycled plastic. This supple material is then laser cut and meticulously manufactured for superior comfort with exceptional care in Portugal.”
Since its launch, the campaign has successfully secured more than €40,000 from nearly 50 investors. It is set to close this winter.
