India’s T20 World Cup Predicted Squad Based on IPL 2024: Hardik Pandya, Ishan Kishan, Mohammed Siraj to MISS Flight to USA
Also, with the bat, Hardik has not had the best of seasons and hence it is very difficult for him to find a spot in the side.
Mumbai: We are less than a week away from the announcement of the T20 World Cup squad and speculations are still rife over a few spots. While most of the squad would be on predicted lines, a few players may miss out. Given his current form, it is highly unlikely that allrounder Hardik Pandya would find a spot in the squad. Reports had suggested that he has to bowl regularly in order to make the squad. He has been bowling consistently, but his form with the ball has not been upto the mark. Also, with the bat, Hardik has not had the best of seasons and hence it is very difficult for him to find a spot in the side.
He could very well be batting at No. 4 if Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma open. Yashasvi Jaiswal is likely to be in the squad as the backup opener. Suryakumar Yadav and Shubman Gill will also be there as batters in the squad. It cannot be confirmed if Gill finds a spot in the XI. Rinku Singh, Shivam Dube would be the finishers along with all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh would be the pacers in the squad.
Yuzvendra Chahal could be picked in the T20 WC squad based on his current form, while Kuldeep Yadav looks to be a certainty. Ravi Bishnoi also stands an outside shot at making it.
