A fundraiser is currently underway to help out a business owner in Redway after an early Wednesday fire destroyed her business and killed 18 of her family’s pets.

The online fundraiser dubbed “Help Angelina rebuild her life” is looking to raise $65,000 for Angeline Jacquez, a mother of two, to restore her business and help keep her family in a stable condition after the tragedy and its financial burdens.

The fire engulfed the building housing Jacquez’s business, a canine training and boarding facility, and an adjacent laundry along the town’s main roadway at around 2 a.m.

The family also lost eight dogs and 10 cats in the fire.

“This is beyond tragic. It would mean so much if we could all raise enough to not only rebuild her business, but to keep her personal life and living condition stable for a few months,” reads the fundraiser hosted on crowdfunding platform GoFundMe and organized by Liana English.

The fundraiser description clarifies there were no other animals at the boarding facility during the fire.

At the time of this writing, $21,844 had been raised by 228 donors.
