MUMBAI: Nuvepro, a managed cloud environment solutions provider, has raised $400,000, or about Rs 2.6 crore, in a round led by crowd-funding platform 1Crowd and its investor community.

The investment will be used for research and development and to expand into the worldwide market, Nuvepro said.

1Crowd, an investment platform focused on early-stage ventures, has more than 500 investors and 50 mentors. It has made over 12 investments since March 2016.

As part of the managed cloud environment solution, Nuvepro delivers ready-to-use infrastructure and applications on a single or multiple clouds, automates the resource provisioning, manages cloud resources and spend, and ensures governance and compliance of cloud usage.
“Nuvepro was founded with a singular vision to make the cloud work, help CIOs (chief information officers) make the most of their cloud investments, and enable them to take the competitive-edge," said Giridhar LV, CEO at Nuvepro.

Today, while 80% of enterprises are using the cloud, returns on their cloud investments are far from realised.

Anup Kuruvilla, cofounder of 1Crowd, said Nuvepro’s business model of providing ready to use cloud infrastructure on a subscription or pay per go basis is a strong pull for enterprises. “We believe Nuvepro would be able to form a crucial bridge between enterprises and cloud providers by driving faster adoption,” he said.

Nuvepro was founded in 2014 by Giridhar, Janakiraman S, Umesh Bhatt, Moyukh Goswami and Rajesh Vasudevan, all having significant years of professional experience.
