Chairman of Majilis of Kazakh Parliament meets Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan

Bishkek, Jan. 21, 2019. /Kabar/. Chairman of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlan Nigmatulin received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Kazakhstan Jeenbek Kulubayev, Kazinform reported citing to the press service of the Majilis.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Majilis noted Kazakhstan’s commitment to the development of traditionally fraternal relations with Kyrgyzstan and the intention to continue to actively deepen and expand the partnership of the two countries.

Nurlan Nigmatulin stressed that thanks to the joint work based on the mutual understanding of the Presidents of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and Sooronbay Jeenbekov, the countries achieved high results in strengthening bilateral and multilateral cooperation. At the same time, the Chairman of the Majilis expressed confidence that the implementation of the agreements reached by the heads of the two states would allow Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan cooperation to be raised to a higher level.

The Chairman of the Majilis told that the Treaty on the Demarcation of the Kazakh-Kyrgyz State Border, ratified by Kyrgyzstan in January of this year, also strengthens good neighborly relations.

Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubayev noted, in turn, that the level of bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan should be an example for all countries of good-neighborly, fraternal interaction and strategic partnership.

Highlighting the dynamics of the meetings of the leaders of the two states Nursultan Nazarbayev and Sooronbay Jeenbekov last year, the diplomat expressed confidence that all bilateral issues in the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres will continue to be developed, because there is complete understanding. At the same time, Jeenbek Kulubayev noted the enormous potential of the bilateral relations.

The Chairman of the Majilis emphasized the importance of expansion and inter-parliamentary cooperation. As Nurlan Nigmatulin noted, the Inter-Parliamentary Council operates between the parliaments of the two countries, the Kazakh and Kyrgyz deputies closely cooperate within the framework of the CIS IPA, the CSTO PA, the TurkPA and other parliamentary structures.
