Colorado prep football programs are partnering with MaxPreps and Pledge It, a performance-based crowdfunding platform, to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to fight childhood cancer through Touchdowns Against Cancer.
The 2nd annual program raised over $100,000 across nearly 200 high schools nationwide last year and is put on in support of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
For each touchdown a participating team scores from Sept. 14 to Sept. 30, fans can make a donation that directly supports St. Jude’s.
Local programs from 8-man all the way up to Class 5A are participating throughout the rest of the month, including but not limited to Alamosa, Chatfield, Columbine, Dakota Ridge, Gilpin County, Haxtun, Holly, Pueblo Central, Pueblo South, Wheat Ridge, Widefield and Wray.
