Estonian maker of electric bikes Ampler eyeing European market

"Thanks to direct sales, Ampler has been able to keep the price of its high quality electric bikes low. Purchased via Indiegogo, the price of the first model starts from 1,690 dollars [1,483 euros], which is half the price of a similarly equipped electric bike," the company said.
Ampler wishes to raise 100,000 dollars in the crowdfunding campaign during a month. Indiegogo will transfer the money to Ampler Bikes also when a smaller amount is raised. By Tuesday morning the company had raised 1,715 dollars via Indiegogo.
Ampler, then named Oobik Cycles, last completed a successful fundraiser on the Fundwise platform at the end of last year, offering stakes in the company in exchange for cash. It raised 91,500 euros then against 10.8 percent of the shares.
Founded in 2014, Ampler Bikes works with a team of seven now. The bikes are developed, designed and assembled in Estonia.
